We very much enjoyed our stay at Le Richelieu. The hotel was recommended to us by a local and we're grateful to him for his good advice! Our very reasonably priced room (for 2) had everything we needed – a comfortable king-size bed, a walk-in closet, refrigerator, nice-sized bathroom, TV, adjustable and quiet A/C, a nice sized desk with charging outlets for our tech gadgets and good wi-fi. The hotel is attractively decorated throughout. We enjoyed the pool and that the bar can be entered right from the pool area. Order a sazerac and relax! The staff is more than friendly and courteous - they’re extremely knowledgeable about New Orleans and its historic and cultural sites. AND, they have personalities – not the bland staff you’ll find at the cookie-cutter chain hotels. The location is perfect – right at the quiet end of the Quarter. The music district on Frenchman Street where you can find such places as DBA and Snug Harbor is just 3 short blocks away. (Don’t miss John Boutté at DBA on a Saturday night!) Royal Street is one block away and Bourbon Street is two. Jackson Square is a short walk down Chartres, the street where Le Richelieu is located. Parking, though a bit pricey, is right behind the hotel – not down the street like some places in New Orleans. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, we’ll be back whenever we visit Nola – why stay anywhere else?

The three days me and my sister spent in this hotel were heavenly. Staff members were are personable as well as professional. If I am ever fortunate enough to get the opportunity of visiting New Orleans again, I will definitely return to Le Richelieu Hotel - and will be recommending it to others. LOVED it! Thank You for the experience!

Comments: Please show my review to Pam. My daughter and I had a great time. Thank you all! Very helpful staff, excellent location.5 out of 5 Recommended for Everyone by Reggie from PA Very helpful staff, excellent location. Posted January 26, 2016 Pros: Hotel staff helpfulness, upkeep of public areas, refrigerator in rooms, parking, pool and location. Cons: N/A Location: French Market, shops on Royal and Chartres, restaurants, music on Frenchmen Street, the Marigny and so much more all within a few blocks walk. Le Richelieu has been a consistently excellent place to stay in the French Quarter. Room rates are moderate. The hotel continues to improve its appearance. Hotel lobby was beautifully decorated for the upcoming Mardi Gras. The lobby tile floor gleamed. The pool was being emptied and scrubbed. Work was being done in the bar to install a new cooler. Many Quarter hotels, in this price range, need to be refreshed and ultimately seem to fall into disrepair. Le Richelieu is working on improving and up keeping the appearance of its public areas. The bedrooms are satisfactory. Parking appeared excellent. I am already preparing my next visit. Was this review helpful to you? We just got home from our visit to New Orleans and stayed at the Le Richelieu. What a wonderful hotel. The staff go out of their way to make your experience an absolute pleasure. The hotel is situated between the center of Bourbon and Frenchman. It is a pleasant walk to either area. The property reminds me of the quaint hotels we have stayed when visiting France. I highly recommend this gem to anyone that wants an exclusive, luxury stay at a very reasonable price.

Just spent a lovely three nights at Le Richelieu. Why stay in a cookie cutter high rise hotel in a historic city like NOLA? This place has soul! Despite being close to everything, the hotel was completely peaceful and quiet - just what I wanted.
