I am glad "The Richelieu" is still there. I used to stay here 1974/75 many times. I liked it than very much and would like it now also - but now I am living in Vienna Austria. I miss the fun,the good times with friends at the Bar, the pool and the staff. The really took good care of us.

I stayed at this hotel in Sept of 2004. Let me tell you the staff was wonderful, the room amazing, and the food was excellent. There is a reason the Beatles and James Earl Jones have stayed here. I was able to meet the owner of the hotel and see him with various celebrities. If you are looking for a wonderful hotel look no further.

We have enjoyed our stays at the Le Richelieu every visit to New Orleans and have yet to be disappointed. The staff is courteous and welcoming; the rooms are clean and attractive. It is a very comfortable and hospitable hotel in every sense of the word. It is close enough to the north end of he French Quarter, only a lock from the French Market area, and within walking distance of Bourbon Street.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Le Richelieu during the 2011 Essence Festival. The experience was absolutely amazing and the ambiance of the hotel was just what I was looking for in the French Quarters of New Orleans. The atmosphere was intimate, clean, and quaint. The staff was absolutely professional and accommodating, and the pool was the perfect size. My room had a balcony that allowed me to sit and listen to the jazz music being played blocks away! I was so impressed with this hotel that I can't wait to get back for the 2013 Essence Festival. What a great time it will be!

We had the pleasure to stay with you 9/20/12 & 9/21/12(our 21st anniversary!) We loved it! our room on the 2nd floor with the doors leading to the balcony was heaven! all the staff were so wonderful! We are telling everyone we know this is the place to stay in the French Quarter. Anytime we come back(with friends) we will stay with you

We just wanted to note how much we enjoyed our stay. Our room was great, and the price was very reasonable. But we specifically wanted to mention how great the staff was. My husband and I are very heavily tattooed, and a lot of times it seems like we aren't treated especially well, but that was not the case here. The staff was so friendly and polite to us. It made us enjoy our stay that much more. If you're looking for a lovely room surrounded by friendly people, than this is your hotel. We will definitely be returning.

This place was great thanks to the ladies at the front desk. They were very helpful and friendly. The room was good. It had all the amenities that we needed. Thanks for making our first mardi gras one to remember.

My beautiful wife and I found this Hotel through and I have to say that the majority of the reviews were on point. The moment we walked through the doors the security (doorman) was helpful and informative. The front desk ladies were super helpful and knowledgable of the area and the inprocessing was painless. The front desk scheduled all of our tours and had great reccomendations for some of our lunch and dinner plans througout our stay (all of which were great). Our room was warm and inviting though some of the in room amenities/furnishings were a little dated. This hotel/room was everything we needed and wanted. It's close enough (walking distance) to everything in the French Quarter you would want to do, but far enough away from the madness of Bourbon St that you can get a great quiet nights sleep.I will definatley stay here on our next visit to the Big Easy and will recommend this wonderful hotel to our friends and family.

We just returned from the French Quarter. Our trip was highlighted by the warm hospitality we received from the staff at Hotel Richeleiu! The hotel is beautiful, comfy rooms and great restaurant and bar. We loved the courtyard pool area. We can't wait for our next trip to Hotel Richelieu!

Our first visit to New Orleans included our stay here. We were treated like family from the minute we arrived. Enough distance from Bourbon St to get rest, yet close enough to Bourbon St and the French Market to walk when we were ready. Absolutely recommend Le Rich to anyone with class.
