We stayed at Le Richelieu March 3-10, 2009. The room was CLEAN! We loved the balcony. The neighborhood was awesome. In the residential area of the French Quarter so everything was walkable but it was quiet. Felt very safe. The staff is friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. After having our first breakfast in their cafe we decided we'd start every morning with breakfast there. Thank you folks at Le Richelieu...from desk to housekeeping to wait staff... you guys are great!
We had a great time this past weekend in New Orleans. The Richelieu is awesome. Our room was quiet and overlooked the courtyard. Who knew you could find quiet in the French Quarter! Rooms were excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Price was reasonable. Great location. Free parking was convenient plus saved us $$. My wife grew up in New Orleans, I lived there 6 years. This is THE best hotel we've stayed at and glad we don't need to hunt for something when we come to town. Looking forward to staying there again.
We spent 28, 1,2,3 at the Le Richelieu. It is the best location. Such a variety of good food and several Cathedrals are within walking distance. NO is back.
We just spent the past weekend in NO and this is THE place to stay. Old New Orleans Charm, wonderful staff. Renny at the Bar was the best. The location can't be beat on the quieter end of the quarter but close to absoltely everything! Frenchman street was just a couple blocks over and the clubs had the best Music!! Forget Bourban street take a walk down Frenchman and enjoy the local flavor. Clean rooms, great staff can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay. We will be back.
Our group from St. David Catholic Church in Willow Grove, Pa. was privileged to attend the rededication of St. David of Wales Catholic Church in the Lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans on Sunday, March 1. While in New Orleans we stayed at Le Richelieu and were treated like royalty. Owner Frank Rochefort and his courteous staff made us feel like family. We will never forget our stay and vow to return whenever we are in town. Thanks for a great stay!
Best hotel in NOLA! Great staff and amazing location. We were close to everything we liked and yet it was quiet and peaceful at night. We stayed here for a week long vacation and they bumped us up to the Paul McCartney suite, which was amazing!! We had a whole balcony overlooking Chartres St. to ourselves. We won't stay anywhere else. Going back to our dear New Orleans and Le Richelieu in April. Can't wait!!
So happy to see the "Riche" is good and going strong. We have spent a few Nola vacations at this wonderful place and have so enjoyed everything. Our favorite memory is the staff. One could not ask for a better "home away from home"! Hands down the best in the business - anywhere! Been a few years again since being "home" so looking forward to seeing some of our old friends soon. A bientot mes amies! TLS
My husband and I stayed here in the first part of December 2008. This was a first visit to NOLA. We by chance had found the Le Reichelieu on the internet and booked it right away, the free parking was at the time the key consideration. This quaint hotel was perfect. We would recommend them to anyone we know who will be visiting NOLA. It is ideally situated for all interests. We hope to return soon.
Just wanted to post to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Le Richelieu. We and our friends have wonderful memories of his 4oth birthday celebration and the "aqua" kitchen of our suite makes us laugh every time it pops up on the computer screen saver. Le Richelieu is a true gem...we were welcomed like friends and so appreciated the special attention we were given. We look forward to returning, soon!
October 27, 2001, this hotel became home to 80 people that came together to celebrate my 50th birthday and in December 2008, 80 people are still talking about it! This is the perfect place for you group. Katrina might have changed New Orleans, but the family at LeRichelieu lives on along with the memories they created for us. When I go to New Orleans, I come home to LeRichelieu and the staff I consider my family. If you don't stay here, you have missed New Orleans!
