Hi everyone, I recently stayed at Le Richelieu,2009, the whole hotel experience was great: the staff are very friendly, informative and ready to help whenever they can. My room was cleaned everyday (sheets were changed, rooms dusted, bathroom cleaned), which is very important to me. I like the fact that I could leave mu hotel key at the front desk - you don't have to worry about misplacing the key. They serve breakfast/lunch for most of the day, so you can have a lie in and still eat breakfast at 1pm! The bar staff are so sweet and freindly, I felt really safe at all times. They also have a swimming pool, which is great for afternoon dips as New Orleans gets very hot in the summer! The location is great: it is a couple (literally) of minutes from the french market, the famous Cafe Du Monde and Canal Street is just 5 minutes up the street. Taxis are parked outside of the hotel everyday so you can easily catch a cab to any destination. Overall I would give this hotel 8 out of 10. It really is a small, clean, central and safe hotel to stay in.

This place can only be described as wonderful. Nice employees, great food, come and go free parking, old world charm. I could go on and on but I know after you have experienced staying here you will finish my praise for me.

Two of my brothers and their wives from New Jersey and us met in New Orleans for holiday. It's always great to see family but it was better than expected because of Le Richelieu. The front desk staff were always helpful and friendly, Renny is a great bartender, the waiters were excellent and the cleaning staff kept everything perfect. I can't say enough nice things about Le Richelieu. It was our first trip to New Orleans and if we ever come back (we always opt for a new place to travel. The USA has so much to see!) we know where we are staying. Thanks much to all who made our stay so pleasant.

This is the longest period of time that my wife Ala and I have been separated from Le Richelieu. Lots of reasons why........some good and some bad; but we're coming back before year end.

We stayed three nights the end of march. We had not planned to come back (there is so much to see in this country and we have so little time), BUT -- the staff members were SO NICE (every single one of them that we encountered) that we have decided to come back about the same time next year. We hope! (Your web site says every day is full from January to March 2010. I hope it is just a glitch!

We stayed at Le Richelieu March 3-10, 2009. The room was CLEAN! We loved the balcony. The neighborhood was awesome. In the residential area of the French Quarter so everything was walkable but it was quiet. Felt very safe. The staff is friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. After having our first breakfast in their cafe we decided we'd start every morning with breakfast there. Thank you folks at Le Richelieu...from desk to housekeeping to wait staff... you guys are great!

We had a great time this past weekend in New Orleans. The Richelieu is awesome. Our room was quiet and overlooked the courtyard. Who knew you could find quiet in the French Quarter! Rooms were excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Price was reasonable. Great location. Free parking was convenient plus saved us $$. My wife grew up in New Orleans, I lived there 6 years. This is THE best hotel we've stayed at and glad we don't need to hunt for something when we come to town. Looking forward to staying there again.

We spent 28, 1,2,3 at the Le Richelieu. It is the best location. Such a variety of good food and several Cathedrals are within walking distance. NO is back.
