Decided I really needed to do this now. My husband and I and another couple just stayed at the Le Richelieu Hotel, March 29,30 and 31, 2004. It turned out to be just what we wanted. A charming small scale hotel with lots of character and it's hard to believe, but it's actually quiet,and it's in the French Quarter! The secure, free parking is just a wonderful bonus. The cafe is charming and the food very good. Troy was alot of fun. The whole staff was always ready to help. Plumbing a little slow at peak hours, but plan ahead. Location is wonderful. You can walk to just about everything. All in all we were 100% pleased with the whole stay. I almost cancelled because another site had some negative comments on it. Don't know what some people are looking for but if you want the Ritz type, stay there and be a number. Or stay at the Le Richelieu and enjoy a charming, quiet hotel where you count.
