Another incredible vacation! This place makes me want to do a commercial on it. Our 10 day April stay was our best yet! The staff is excellent,very caring, and Jim and Linda are consummate professionals. We love crepes around the pool, and Michael anticipates every need, with that great sense of humor. Speaking of crepes, don't miss those paper thin wonders out of that quaint kitchen. Those ladies know how to cook! If you want a cookie cutter/no personality/new fangled hotel, stay away from here. This place is steeped in southern hospitality at it's most elegantly delivered, which means to me that the staff WANTS to serve you well. After 4 visits in 3 years, I've stayed in several rooms. The rooms are large, expensively decorated, comfy baths stocked to overflowing, and the walk in closets are devine. I find the suite appliances and baths dated back several decades, but maintained meticulously, speaking of the quality of the original investment. Joanne Kirkpatrick, manager over 30 years, should write a book about making guests feel at home. Her management skills are evident at every turn, and she enjoys a wonderful reputation in the community for this quality property. This staff is dedicated to making sure your stay is not good, but perfect. We travel a lot and I've never felt more welcome, or been more pampered. I was even asked to call and let them know we made it home safely. Congratulations on a first class hotel, Frank, and thanks to Joanne and all the staff! Have our room ready next April.
