Hi everyone, I recently stayed at Le Richelieu,2009, the whole hotel experience was great: the staff are very friendly, informative and ready to help whenever they can. My room was cleaned everyday (sheets were changed, rooms dusted, bathroom cleaned), which is very important to me. I like the fact that I could leave mu hotel key at the front desk - you don't have to worry about misplacing the key. They serve breakfast/lunch for most of the day, so you can have a lie in and still eat breakfast at 1pm! The bar staff are so sweet and freindly, I felt really safe at all times. They also have a swimming pool, which is great for afternoon dips as New Orleans gets very hot in the summer! The location is great: it is a couple (literally) of minutes from the french market, the famous Cafe Du Monde and Canal Street is just 5 minutes up the street. Taxis are parked outside of the hotel everyday so you can easily catch a cab to any destination. Overall I would give this hotel 8 out of 10. It really is a small, clean, central and safe hotel to stay in.
