Am thrilled to know that my "home" in New Orleans stood her ground against Ms. K! Can't wait to get back to see some of my favorite people in the city.

So thankful to hear all is well. We have celebrated holidays there with Kruz for years. This past summer we brought our daughter for the first time and it was delightful. We will certainly return as soon as it feasible. God speed and care to the people we love, miss and hope are well.

The Katrina matter sent my mind back to 1965. About 3 or 4 weeks after Hurricane Betsy came through in September of that year, I had occasion to be in New Orleans for 5 weeks on business. I stayed in a suite in the Le Richelieu during that period. I sometimes felt a little bit guilty staying in such a nice place with so much misery around. However, I always think fondly of the hotel. IT was very nice.
