Decided I really needed to do this now. My husband and I and another couple just stayed at the Le Richelieu Hotel, March 29,30 and 31, 2004. It turned out to be just what we wanted. A charming small scale hotel with lots of character and it's hard to believe, but it's actually quiet, and it's in the French Quarter! The secure, free parking is just a wonderful bonus. The cafe is charming and the food very good. Troy was alot of fun. The whole staff was always ready to help. Plumbing a little slow at peak hours, but plan ahead. Location is wonderful. You can walk to just about everything. All in all we were 100% pleased with the whole stay. I almost cancelled because another site had some negative comments on it. Don't know what some people are looking for but if you want the Ritz type, stay there and be a number. Or stay at the Le Richelieu and enjoy a charming, quiet hotel where you count.

..January 14,2003.. We were just planning another trip to New Orleans and the first place that came to mind, as a place to stay was the LeRichelieu. Our previous stay (Jan-2003) was to celebrate a milestone birthday(50th),unfortunately we both were a little under the weather, but with the thoughtfulness of your staff and first-hand employees(especially Troy),our stay turned out to be quite enjoyable. Again thanks for such great hospitality and care...Will definitely recommend your hotel to anyone whom may be planning a stay in your fine city.

Wouldn't stay any place else in the "Quarter." Been visiting for 12 years. It's like going home! Carl, Not Too, Lester, Mike, Herman. The gang's always there. THE coolest bar and juke box in town.

AT LAST I'M POSTING!!!! Apologies for being so late on this posting. My wife Ala and I visited out HOME away from HOME in December. We came down this time for Papa Noel. We would NOT stay anywhere else in New Orleans than Le Richelieu Hotel. This was the longest period between visit and still Herman at the bar's opening words; after hello was, "Ala you want a ... Mary and John a Heineken for you." It wasn't a question. He just knows. Michael in the restaurant and bar is still once of the kindest gentleman we've ever met. Brian and Remi........those who take the reservations, Joan Kirkpatrick Assistant Manager and Frank the owner of the hotel always make us feel so very welcome. This past few months I have had calls asking about Le Richelieu on my radio program. I'm happy to say that over the past month and a half a lovely couple and a single gentleman have stayed at Le Richelieu; because of my comments. They have e-mailed since returning and feel the same way. There aren't enough words to let the staff at the hotel how much they make us feel so welcome; when we arrive. Everyone at the hotel goes beyond the call of duty when it comes to their guests. Thank you again everyone and oh yes I found a "new" room to stay in. We have been lucky to get the McCartney suite and the V.I.P. suite in the past; but we found a real winner last time for a real reasonable price. I'm not telling. I'll let you find out on your own. God Bless everyone.
