I spent my honeymoon at your lovely hotel 20 years ago last June. I have such rich and beautiful memories of that time. I remember telling the manager upon our arrival that we picked Le Richelieu because the brochure had said Paul McCartney had stayed there and he was my first love. He let us stay in the McCartney suite for the regular single room rate. When Katrina hit I was heartsick for your city and wondered everyday about the hotel. I'm so very happy to hear so many of you are safe and the hotel is still standing. I am praying for you all.

We want to send our prayers to you and your staff - as well as hopes that you will recover from this. We had made plans with Tamara to get married in your courtyard on Sept 1 - we went to plan B and were married as planned in Gatlinburg, TN - however, we terribly missed sharing our special day with all of you. We love your hotel and feel that it is our home in NO - your staff does a wonderful job! We hope to spend our 1st anniversary with you... Take care and hope to see you all soon!

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the Le Richelieu "family" whom I know have been scattered throughout the US after Katrina rampaged New Orleans. Le Richelieu is such a quaint, fabulous hotel tucked away in the French Quarter. I first stayed there in 1990 and have been back many times. I saw the article about the hotel after the storm on the internet and also in the Chicago paper. I am hopeful everyone at this establishment is safe and sound. Please let me know what I can do to assist any of you and also what I can contribute to the revitalization of the hotel once the clean-up is finalized. I couldn't believe the destruction of one of the most colorful cities in the US.. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!
