We're thinking of you all during this traumatic time. Hoping all will be well and life can return to normal very soon. Hoping that you will post your situation here so we can have up to the minute facts about how you are. ie, What damage has been done, let us know when power is back on, communications back up, etc.

I have stayed at Le Richelieu with a group of 12-14 girlfriends over the last 7 years. It is my favorite place to stay. It's like going back in time. I enjoy everything about it. The bar, the pool, the breakfasts, and of course the staff. The staff never changes - it's just like coming home every year. They are in my thoughts and prayers right now - as hurricane Katrina bares down on New Orleans. I just hope the best for everyone. I pray they are safe and Katrina will go elsewhere! All the best to everyone in that fine city!

We have just returned from our vacation in New Orleans. Although we have visited New Orleans many times,it is the first time we have stayed at the Richelieu, and we had a very enjoyable stay. We love the quiet location, convenient to both the French Quarter and Marigny, and our room, a deluxe king on the second floor, was lovely. The entire staff was very helpful and accomodating, and the cafe served a very nice breakfast. I believe that the Richelieu is one of the best bargains in the Quarter. We will definitely stay here again!

Stayed at Le Richelieu 13-16June 2005.Had a great room on the 2nd Floor overlooking the pool.Location was great, easy to get to the main(busy) areas but the Hotel is located in a quiet area of the Quarter.Staff very friendly, would have no hesitation in stopping there again.

In 1975, I arrived in New Orleans on a spur on the moment vacation. I was alone with no reservation for a hotel. On the recomendation of a taxi driver when asked for a reasonably inexpensive and safe place to stay in the French Quarter, he brought me to Le Richelieu. I spent five days at the hotel. I was shown extreme courtesy and helpfulness in visiting places around the Quarter. Two years later I visited again with the same results. Last year I brought my daughter there. It had been 27 years since I visited. I didn't know what to expect but was amazed. The rooms were as nice or nicer than I remembered, the food was just as good and the staff was even more helpful, if that can be imagined. I would recomend Le Richelieu to anyone that wants the best that the Quarter has to offer.
