Easter Parades in French Quarter
The parade of horse-drawn carriages and convertibles will leave Antoine's, snaking its way through the French Quarter to Jackson Square, with plush bunnies and candy-filled eggs among the throws. Participants will attend the 11 a.m. Mass at St. Louis Cathedral and then promenade in Jackson Square at noon before returning to Antoine's. For the participants, there will be contests to name the Most Exquisite Chapeaux, Grand Easter Basket and Regal Easter Attire.
Grand Duchess Chris Owens, celebrating her 32nd annual Easter procession, leads the parade through the French Quarter, with floats, vintage cars, bands, dance teams, beads and Easter-themed trinkets.
Easter Grand Marshals XVI Johnny Passio and Deja Deja-Vue lead the parade of carriages, limousines, wagons and trolleys through the French Quarter, with bands and walking groups
