You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this challenging and devastating time. May all of you and your families be out of harms way, may your losses be few and may you have the strength to meet each new day with optimism.

We spent our honeymoon at Le Richelieu sixteen years ago. Our prayers are with your hotel staff and their families during this difficult time. We hope the hard times are soon at an end so we can visit you again.

Three weeks ago my new wife and I spent an idyllic four nights of a brief honeymoon at your lovely hotel. It was my bride's first ever trip to New Orleans, and though I had been to NOLA and stayed all around town, I'd never stayed with you. How bright the memories of those few short days and how devasted we are to witness the innundation of the town and the very streets we strolled only days ago. We send our thoughts, prayers and best wishes to the entire LeRicheliu family in hopes that as much will be spared as possible and everyone will be safe during the trying weeks that follow. God Bless.

Our hearts are broken to hear the news out of New Orleans - where my husband and I courted, married & honeymooned at the Richelieu five years ago. Le Richelieu was one of our favorite places in the world... hiding out in the bar over glasses of Abita Amber, enjoying the entirely wonderful hospitality. Dozens of mornings we commented that Le Richelieu's comfy beds and light-obstructing curtains were a hangover's best friend. We hope, pray and despair for all of the people who made Le Richelieu 'one of a kind' and if miracles do happen, we pray that one delivers for the victims of Katrina. Todd and Susan Smart
